ReplyDeleteI wonder if the front edges to fold inwards at Caramel? Is that intentional?
ReplyDeleteFound your pattern on pinterest. I can't wait to knit one. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteIs it possible to get a german translated copie ?
ReplyDeleteThank you...
I've seen now this pattern. It's beautiful!!! Thank you, Tiziana
ReplyDeleteI just had to let you know that I made this cardigan, and am about to start a second one. I wear it constantly, and absolutely love how easy it is to make "your own" with variations. So comfy and versatile. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteSaw this on Pinterest and straightaway thought 'I want it.' It's simple yet very stylish. I have a couple of main projects on my needles and hooks but hope to get to this soon.
ReplyDeleteJust started this pattern. Just double checking, the RS rows between the increases say work st between frontbands as they appear, so I'm p to 3 before M then k1 p1 k1 sm k1p1k1 and so on correct?
ReplyDeleteabsolutely correct...hope you'll have fun with it
DeleteThanks, do you suggest carrying the yarn through the stripe or cut it and weave in the tails?
ReplyDeleteyou can carry up the yarns, but I would suggest to move the color change to one of the "side seams", otherwise you will see the carried yarn at the edge
ReplyDeleteGreat thanks!
ReplyDeleteLove the pattern! This is my attempt on making a cardigan. I followed the pattern up to the increases at 267 sts. on my needles. My problem is I don't get the 81 front sts., 66 sleeve and 107 sts for the back. What am i doing wrong?
ReplyDeleteHmmmm...to answer I would need more information
Deleteat first it seams that you mixed up some st counts...the 267 sts is the st count after separating sleeves from body, the other st counts are what you have before separating and these are correct
After the very first inc row you have:
54 sts (front) - 12 sts (sleeve) - 51 sts (back)
then you do inc rows (in your case 27 additional inc rows) on every RS row until you have:
81 sts (front) - 66 sts (sleeve) - 105 sts (back)
this will be a total of 399 sts on your needle
Oh! Okay, i thought the total after my increases was to be the 267sts. Now that makes since. Thank you for clearing this up for me. Again this is my 1st time making a cardigan. :)
Deletei like the the caramel pattern but i want to do the one that looks like black and grey but i can't find the pattern for not doing it in the stripes. i don't know how far down to do the main color
ReplyDeleteto get a precise answer you may want to contact one of the ladies who did the cardigan the way you want to knit it. I do not know how long they made the body until they changed colors.
Deletea raw guess from my side would be to knit the body to approx. 8 - 10 cm less than desired length and change the colors

ReplyDeleteHello! Quick question: should I be making right and left leaning increases at the shoulders? Or make all left?

Thank you very much for the sweater pattern! I'm making it right now, but I have about the wrong side stitches after you start the increases on the right side. Since you purl them on the RS, you knit them on WS right?
ReplyDeleteThank you very much.
yes, when working the WS you have to work all stitches as they appear = purl the purls and knit the knits ;)
ReplyDeletech würde dir gerne unsere ravelry Gruppe http://www.ravelry.com/groups/designs-by-isabell-kraemer
Deleteans Herz legen, da ist immer der ein oder andere online, der gerne aushilft
zu Deiner Frage, Du strickst ohne Zunahmen 10 Reihen, dann beginnen die Zunahmen
I'm sorry, but there must be something wrong with me, because I can't get the pattern to work. In the increase row, you have 169 stitches, but the instructions are for 177 stitches. I'm really confused. I can't get it to work. Help please.
ReplyDeletethe increase row adds 8 sts
Delete169 + 8 = 177
I know, it was just the wording. I'm out of practice with knitting, so I'll figure it out. Thanks
DeleteHello, I love this sweater but found the smallest size to still be much too big for me. Do you have any suggestions for decreasing it overall? Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI'm unsure what the * means in the caramel cardigan pattern. Have not started yet but in studying the pattern I'm already confused. Waiting to hear back so I can get started . Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThat usually means to repeat from * to *.
DeleteI am just finishing up my Caramel sweater and was wondering what type of bind off did you use for the sleeves and the waist. Thank you
