new dress

ooooops,....  i did it again.....
another dress. this time i used an old xxxl shirt

i was not totally happy with the seam at the bustline
so i added a few crochet flowers and motifs
out of this book and now i'm really happy with it!!

it's comfy and cozy and i think a perfect holiday dress

maybe i will take it with me to egypt
only 14 days to go....yeah!

weekend crafting

this is my 3rd!!!!! crochet project this year,
such a strange thing.....

the circles are the simplest ever:
ch 3, dc 11 times in first ch, join with a sl st
that's it
I crocheted 31 of these and joined them

unfortunately i was not able to get all those
loose ends crocheted in, so i had to weave in...

the triangle shape of the fabric is rounded

to add little colour to the fabric i crocheted
a few more circles, some of them with a second crochet row around

something is missing.....
will work on this to make it pefect...
have a nice week

crocheted????

first I have to admit that I am no crocheter...well, I know the stitches and I know how to crochet
but I feel out of sorts when doing it.
I crochet with my right hand and maybe that's the key,
while being a lefty..
it's more a fight than a pleasure for me to do this
but anyway sometimes I like it,
I stumbled across this tutorial and immediately had to start to crochet

after the third attempt with the pattern it worked

sure, it was, like everyday, a fight against the fury in the cat
the idea was to create a little pouch
I started with 27 ch and followed the stitchpattern
for 7 rows
then seamed together the rectangles, leaving the top of them open

ready to be lined with some cotton I had on hand
a cute little zippered pouch :)

ready to leave

...

look at this wild, wild fur bearing animal

seconds later Mr. Rossi hooked his claws into my leg.....
